Tonight Alive

There’s something about the Australian music scene that has produced such great bands. One of those great bands is Tonight Alive who have been creating a buzz throughout the music scene since their formation in 2008. Having already stormed through last year on the Vans Warped Tour, to supporting the likes of Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, and Man Overboard , they’re in their prime to take over this year’s Vans Warped Tour.  With a new album, “The Other Side“, on the horizon for release in September, it seems 2013 is for the taking for Tonight Alive.

Memphis May Fire

Riding on the success of their latest album, “Challenger“, Memphis May Fire have graduated to the Main Stage this year at Warped Tour. Lead vocalist Matty Mullins knows how to get a crowd pumped up, take my word for it. See for yourself by catching their set this summer on the Vans Warped Tour.

The Wonder Years

Having just released their critically acclaimed new album, “The Greatest Generation“, The Wonder Years will continue their campaign on the main stage at this year’s Vans Warped Tour. How many bands can you name that have played four concerts in one day around the United States on the release day of their album? From first hand experience, I can tell you The Wonder Years and their fans deliver an intense show that you won’t forget. Whether you know all their songs or none of their songs, by the end of their set you will have found yourself in the middle of the chaos that is their unforgettable live performance.

Like Moths To Flames

A personal favorite of RichardThinks, Like Moths To Flames have toured the country relentlessly for their debut album, “When You Don’t Exist” since it’s released back in November of 2011. Now set to release their sophomore album, “An Eye For An Eye” on July 9th, Like Moths To Flames will be rushing the Vans Warped Tour taking no prisoners with their energetic live show. Having recently announced their return, Story Of The Year will begin their return to the scene by performing on the Vans Warped Tour for two weeks. Those lucky enough to have them performing at your date, do yourself a favor and catch their set. Guarantee, even if you don’t know any of their songs, you will will have your face completely melted off. For those who can’t catch them at Warped, get stoked as they will embark on a 10 year anniversary tour for their debut album, “Page Avenue”  sometime later this year or early next year.

Playing 7/9 – 7/23

Perhaps one of the most talked about bands in today’s music scene, letlive. bring one of the most memorable and chaotic shows you will ever see. Vocalist, Jason Butler is one of the most prominent front-man out today , and anyone who hasn’t seen letlive. live before their Warped date and catches their live show, won’t forget it. Crown The Empire

Potentially one of the fastest growing bands in the scene at the moment, Crown The Empire have grown exponentially since signing to Rise Records last year. Having released their critically acclaimed album, The Fallout, they’ve gone on to supporting The Used and even being on the cover of Alternative Press‘ “100 Bands You Need To Know” 2013 issue. This edition of the Vans Warped Tour they will be playing the Ernie Ball Stage, the next Warped Tour Crown The Empire will participate in, could see them potentially playing on the Main Stage. The Black Dahlia Murder

Lets face it, you were probably scratching your head as well when The Black Dahlia Murder announced that they were to participate on this year’s Vans Warped Tour. In a way this works, the band have just released their new album, “Everblack“, and are reaching out to new audiences on Warped. If you ever wanted to expand your musical horizons, then make it a point to catch The Black Dahlia Murder, you won’t be disappointed. After you recover from their brutal live performance, of course.

Craig Owens

Of course, we could have included Chiodos in this, but really they’re a staple in everyone’s list. With Craig Owens performing in the acoustic basement, there’s many possibilities of him performing songs from Chiodos, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, Isles & Glaciers, and of course his own solo material. Craig rarely embarks on solo tours anymore, and with Chiodos in full swing, his acoustic basement shows will be the only time to catch him perform solo for a long time.

Woe, Is Me

Having undergo various lineup changes, many people, including myself, had written off Woe, Is Me. After catching them live opening for Of Mice & Men earlier this year, my opinion immediately changed, they can still bring it live. Don’t follow the crowd, or as the old adage goes, don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. In this case, don’t knock Woe, Is Me until you’ve seen them live with their new line-up.
