ISSUES have announced they have begun work on the follow-up to last year’s debut EP, “Black Diamonds”. Check out a statement from the band below, ISSUES have also announced they have tapped Kris Crummet once again to produce the upcoming effort. The band released a new single, “Hooligans” last month which can be streamed at this location.
Dear Hooligans,
It’s been almost a year since we recorded Black Diamonds, and you guys have been amazing. Thanks for supporting us! We have tried to grow as musicians and as friends, and I know the minor adjustments and bumps in the road have been awkward for you guys this year, so we promise we will make it up to you with this record. Sitting in a garage in Pasadena this summer, sweating our asses off but writing these songs the way we did in the beginning, hopefully you will feel it. “Old Dena raised us, and the road will never change us.” Cheers to a new beginning, re-evaluating our Issues. We are going in with Kris Crummet because at the end of the day, he’s one of the hardest working and rawest engineers/producers in this industry. We had a blast doing our EP with him and we love the natural talent he brought out in us. His technique is raw, and gives us the chance to get the best feel without tons of production.
Leggo,
Oh What Da,
