Linkin Park To Play Vans Warped Tour In Ventura, CA Today And Why It Makes Sense

Through a number of sources, it has been confirmed that Linkin Park will be headlining the Ventura, CA stop of Vans Warped Tour tonight.

Through a number of tweets, including a photo of the group’s own exclusive stage, Linkin Park will be headlining the Vans Warped Tour tonight in Ventura, CA. Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park vaguely confirmed the group’s appearance as well (see below).

The official Vans Warped Tour Twitter account has confirmed the group’s performance at 5:25 on the band’s exclusive stage celebrating 20 years of the Vans Warped Tour.

Some people are questioning why a band the size of Linkin Park or genre is even playing Warped Tour. Let’s not forget that one of the reasons festivals such as these aren’t only just for seeing your favorite bands, but also to discover new music. To that statement, you might say, “Well Linkin Park isn’t a new band!” Warped Tour is also a perfect opportunity for bands to play to people who might not go out of their way to see at said band’s own show. Plus it’s a perfect opportunity for Linkin Park to promote their new album, “The Hunting Party“, which was released last Tuesday.

If you aren’t able to see the band tonight, they will be heading out on the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars and AFI this summer. Be sure to check out our official review of “The Hunting Party”, Linkin Park’s sixth studio album which was released June 17th through Warner Bros. Records.
